Imagine if every believer could answer that question with the name of a person who is far from God—a person for whom they’re praying and with whom seeking to share the gospel. That’s the intention behind Who’s Your One. We believe God’s people don’t merely need another method for evangelism— what they need is a white-hot passion to see people who are far from God experience the new life He offers through Jesus Christ.

Over the coming days, our church and countless others will prioritize personal ownership of the Great Commission as we each intentionally pursue one person with the hope of the gospel. At times, it seems the mission is simply too complex and too vast for churches like ours and people like us. While we can’t do everything, we can do something. We can all take responsibility for one. And, because of God’s power and the work of His Spirit, each of our ones can add up to make a significant impact for God’s kingdom.

WEEK 5 REFLECTION VERSES

I tell you, in the same way, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine

righteous people who don’t need repentance. - Luke 15:7 CSB

WEEK 5 REFLECTION QUESTIONS

  1. Have you ever experienced a time when you felt lost and then found by God? How did that change your relationship with Him?

  2. Do you truly rejoice when someone far from God repents, or do you sometimes struggle with comparison, pride, or self-righteousness?

  3. How can we, as a church, better reflect the heart of heaven by celebrating the one who repents rather than focusing on the ninety-nine who are already here?

  4. Who in your life might be the “one” that God is calling you to pursue, love, and pray for? What steps can you take to reach out to them this week?

  5. What does this verse teach you about God’s heart for the lost, and how should that shape the way you live out your faith?

  6. Imagine the rejoicing in heaven when a sinner repents. What does that tell you about God’s love and priorities?

  7. Ask God to bring a specific person to your mind who needs His love. How can you be part of their journey toward repentance?

  8. Are you more like the ninety-nine, safe in the fold, or do you have the heart of the shepherd who seeks the lost?

  9. Spend time praying for those who are far from God. Ask Him to give you His heart for the one over the comfort of the ninety-nine.

  10. What practical step can you take this week to embody the heart of Jesus in Luke 15:7?
