What We Do To Keep Your Kids Safe

Worker Screening
Everyone who works directly with minors at Stone Ridge must complete our screening process.
Background Check: we have contracted with SecureSearch to provide a criminal records check at city, county, state, national and international levels (for every worker 18 yrs and older).
Reference Check: we require and check 3 non-family references.
Workers are interviewed and placed by a Stone Ridge Staff Member.

Worker Standards
All children's workers must be active members or attenders of Stone Ridge.
There must be a minimum of 2 workers in every room at all times.
Workers are not to be alone with a child in a room or bathroom (unless the door can be left open).
All workers must wear a church-provided name tag identifying them as a team member.

Check-In (Preschool)
Children are electronically checked in with a name tag and ID code.
Parents are given a receipt with the ID code to present when picking up their child.
Parents are also given a pager to alert them if the workers need a parent to attend to the child.

Other procedures and policies are followed to handle sick children, injuries, diaper changing, and sanitation. You may contact Mia Neely (our Preschool Director) or Kathie Schotten (our Children's Minister) for more information at the church office (314-4410).
