:: MOPS

Stone Ridge's Mom's Time Groups would like our moms to know about MOPS.  If you are a mother of young children, come check out MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers).  MOPS groups are communities that strive to meet the needs of every mom with children from birth through Kindergarten.  It's a neat time to connect through Bible study and fellowship.  Our local MOPS group meets at Mt. Zion Church (2445 E. 24th St.) the 1st & 3rd Tuesdays of each month at 9:30 am.  Childcare and a light breakfast is provided.  Call Johnna Sandor for more information at 785-7905.

:: Women Mentoring Women

 No matter what season of life you are in, you are invited to join the Women's Ministry Mentoring Program.  This ministry gives women an opportunity to experience joy and growth in their Christian lives by participating in one-on-one supporting and encouraging mentoring friendships.  Maybe you are feeling the need for an encouraging friendship or you would like to mentor a younger woman.  If this sounds like you, please contact Shirley Little at 783-8749 for more information.

Women's Ministry

Our Mission:

To reach women of all walks of life, in all seasons of life; based on Ezekiel 34, our aim is to nourish the healthy, heal the injured, care for the lost, and strengthen the young.

How it all began . . .

It doesn’t take much to get women talking and that’s exactly what happened years ago as we gathered for Bible Study with just a handful of women. Today, that single study with just a few women has blossomed into a ministry involving countless women on many different levels. Like a tree with many branches, we have grown into a four-tiered ministry that focuses on:

Nourishing the healthy
Healing the injured
Caring for the lost
Strengthening the young

No matter what season of life you are in, there is a place for you in Women’s Ministries at Stone Ridge. Each branch of the ministry is led by a “shepherd” who can guide you to one of our many opportunities for growth and refreshment. To find out more about SRC Women’s Ministries and get in contact with a shepherd who can help you get connected with other like-minded SRC women, call our Women’s Ministries Director, Diane Kinnard at 726-4132.

Annual Spring Retreat:

Our annual Women’s Retreat is held every Spring in a relaxing conference center location nearby. Our retreat begins on Friday evening and ends on Sunday afternoon and always includes an inspirational guest speaker, dynamic praise and worship music, lots of fun activities, and free time for you to enjoy your girlfriends. Join us for a retreat with your friends or come and make some new ones. This annual event is a favorite among our women!  Look here for photos of one of our retreats!

Mentoring:

 We have a proven Mentoring program with a manageable time commitment.  We offer periodic orientation coffees and training for the Mentor and Mentee, as well as continued support from our program coordinator. If you’re interested in this life-changing ministry contact the church office at 314-4410 and we’ll put you in touch with our mentoring director.

Bible Study Programs

Studying the Bible together has proven to be a great way to build solid relationships with each other and with our Heavenly Father. While topics may vary, at the core of our program we consistently offer two studies: “Finally OK With Me!” - a study by Victorious Christian Living, and “Shepherding a Woman’s Heart” by Beverly Hisop. To find out what we are currently offering, call our Women’s Ministries Director at 726-4132.

Card Ministry:

An excellent opportunity to “get together” and create beautiful handmade cards. The cards are then given to someone to encourage them and let them know they are loved. These monthly card-making meetings are open to every woman. To find out dates and meeting locations, call the church office at 314-4410.

Scrapbooking:

 This is a great way for women to get together and create something fresh and fun! Our scrapbooking parties are open to any woman, at any time, so bring your friends!

Special Events:

 Whether it’s a ladies night out for spicy Mexican food, or a Christmas gift exchange, our quarterly women’s events are as varied as the women who attend them. We have a desire to reach ladies in our community with the love of Christ, and every special event is planned with the intention of making every woman, no matter what her age, race, or religious orientation, feel comfortable and cared for (take a peek at a photo of our shopping trip). From baby showers to breakfasts with guest speakers,  we welcome new ideas and encourage ladies to share them.
